Variable
Area – VA meters, commonly called rotameters, are a cost-effective
solution used for flow indication of liquids and gases. External
power is not required for operation; therefore they provide a fail-safe
flow rate measurement under any circumstance. VA meters are used in simple
to sophisticated applications. They are offered in variety of wetted
materials for high pressure, high temperature and hazardous locations.
Thermal
Mass Flow – TMF technology uses thermodynamic principles
to derive mass flow. A TMF sensor can be combined with an integral
valve and PID controller in one compact, efficient instrument that
can accurately control the flow of gases. TMF products exhibit high
repeatability and accuracy.
Coriolis
Mass Flow – The Coriolis products use a proven direct mass
measurement technology to provide precise flow measurement and control
of liquids and gases. These stand alone devices include an integrally
mounted control valve function with a compact miniaturized configuration.
They can simultaneously measure mass flow fluid density and temperature.

Micronics
Ultrasonic Flow – portable clamp-on technology for simple,
accurate flow measurement outside of the pipe. Compact, rugged and
reliable, the Portaflow range has been designed to provide sustained
performance in industrial environments. DSP measurement technique,
Reynolds number correction, easy to install, simple to follow programming
menu, clamp-on sensors to handle ½” through 78” pipe
sizes.

FMC Invalco
Turbine
Flow – The turbine flow meters utilize a rugged, durable
one piece cartridge design with integral flow straighteners, double
sleeve bearing and a flow through design. This provides excellent performance
and unequaled service life in non-lubricating and solids contaminated
fluids. The stainless steel/tungsten carbide construction provides
corrosion free service so that long life is guaranteed, even in the
toughest applications.
Positive
Displacement – These volumetric flow meters provide high levels of
accuracy and repeatability for a wide range of liquids from low viscosity solvents
and chemicals to viscous oils, greases and food bases. Low Pressure Drop allows
for economical pump selection or gravity flow applications. Either a piston
or oval gear flow meter have no requirement for flow conditioning (straight
pipe runs), pulse outputs and accept bi-directional flow.
Insertion
Flow – The Dualpulse insertion flow transducer provide a cost effective
and simple means of measuring the flow of water and a wide range of low viscosity
liquids. The two models cover pipe sizes from 1.5” – 100” nominal
bore. Installation is quick and inexpensive. The linear measuring range covers
flow velocities from 0.7 – 33 ft/sec without creating flow cavitation.

Daniel Flow Measurement
Turbine
Flow – The Daniel liquid turbine is a volumetric flow metering
and transmitting device for fiscal custody transfer metering across
the oil and gas industry. Turbine meter technology is a proven, reliable
and accurate method of flow measurement. Daniel turbine meters address
the requirements of petroleum production, transportation and terminal
marketing applications. With a built-in flow conditioning plate, the
meter is suitable for installation in confined areas such as load rack
skids. It is designed for use within the guidelines of API Standards,
Chapter 5.3 and the test procedures of API Chapter 4 (Prover Systems).
Ultrasonic
Flow – The Daniel liquid ultrasonic meter is rapidly becoming the
technology of choice for measuring a wide range of fluids. With no moving parts
and no impediments to flow, ultrasonic meters virtually eliminate pressure
loss common to other types of measurement technologies. The technology can
be applied to custody transfer, allocation measurement, check metering, leak
detection, and inventory control applications. With no moving parts, the meter
is ideal for bi-directional flow as it provides accurate measurement of both
upstream and downstream transit times.

Brodie Meter Co.
BiRotor
Flow – This positive displacement meter is recognized throughout
the petroleum industry for its accuracy, durability and repeatability.
The Brodie patented design measures liquids up to 50,000 SSU of viscosity,
offers connection sizes from 1 ½” – 16” and
maximum flow ranges up to 13,000 BPH. Resistant to sand and other abrasives,
the BiRotor is recognized as a workhouse in oil production for crude
oil. It is also offers low operational costs in the pipeline, railcar/truck
loading, tank farms and marketing terminals.

Primary Flow Signal, Inc.
Venturi
Flow – The venturi flow element produces
a differential pressure to calculate flowrate through a pipe. The fluid
is accelerated through a converging cone and the pressure difference
between upstream side of the cone and the throat is measured and provides
the signal for the rate of flow. The venturi tube has less head loss
than an orifice or nozzle due to its streamlined design. These are
ideally suited for clear gas, liquid or steam applications. This design
is available in many materials and end arrangements and equipped with
fittings to accept secondary instrumentation packages.
Wedge
Meter – The PFS Wedgetype flow element is also a differential product,
but is especially geared for highly viscous, contaminated and/or abrasive fluids.
The “wedge shaped” segment protruding into the flow path produces
a differential that is captured by the DP transmitter. The particulate or slurry
component of the fluid can easily pass through the throat construction since
it is open in the bottom segment.
Orifice
Plates, Flange Unions, Meter Tubes – PFS manufacturers and stocks
a growing range of orifice plates and accessories compliant with the gas industry
standards, as may be required. Standard 316 SS paddle type and universal style
orifice plates in line sizes ranging from 1” – 24”. Larger
line sizes and exotic materials can be manufactured by request. Flange unions
in A105 are stocked, but 304 and 316 SS are readily available. Meter tubes
and runs are designed and manufactured to order.

AW Lake Company
Positive
Displacement Flow – These flow meters are
ideal for highly viscous fluids or fluids with changing viscosities,
such as oils, resins, sealants, adhesives and paints. AW offers 4 types
of positive displacement flow meters: spur gear, helical gear, high
pressure gear and streamlined gear. The flow ranges are from 0.001
gpm to 265 gpm, can handle up to 15,000 psi and are compact for tight
spaces.
Coriolis Flow – AW
Liquid Coriolis flow meter technology offers advantages over traditional volumetric
technologies. 316 Stainless tubes and ATEX rated explosion proof transmitters;
with accuracy of +/- .5% while measuring flow, density and temperature.
Meinecke
Hot
or Cold Water Propeller/Turbine Flow – This bulk liquid
meter for hot or cold water service measures high, relatively
constant flow rates (e.g. behind pumps). With its high degree
of accuracy and the versatility of its accessories, it can be
utilized for automatic batching, local or remote total and rate
indication. Line size 2” – 12”

Kenco Engineering
Sight
Flow Indicator – Kenco offers a variety of sight flow indicators
as well as line of sight windows. The sight flow indicators provide a window
into piping. They are a cost effective and efficient way to visually monitor
the flow of fluids, and to determine if any problems exist along the process
pipeline. These inexpensive, simple devices, allow operators to observe flow
rate, direction, color and clarity. Sight flow indicators are useful backups
to meters, switches and other control devices. |
