Dual Microprocessors
At the heart of the MCG 1600SFI is a high integration core microprocessor which can be customized to specific applications. A separate DSP microprocessor provides high speed measurement and algorithm processing for high accuracy, obstruction avoidance, self-calibration, and echo cancellation. All programmed and processed information can be displayed on the gauge’s 32-character LCD as well as an optional ground level display.

Antennas
Years of experience have enabled L&J Engineering to provide the optimal antenna configuration for a given application. Four antenna designs, parabolic, cone, rod and stillwell, accommodate various process parameters which include surface conditions, height to measure, dielectric constant of product and internal obstructions.

Inventory Management
The MCG 1600SFI Radar Gauge, which transmit level and temperature data, can be remotely accessed by a computer/receiver such as the MCG 3905 via the L&J Tankway. Product temperature is obtained by using a MCG 300 3-wire R.T.D. (copper or platinum), or a MCG 350/351 averaging temperature probe with a MCG 2350 which is connected to an on-board analog-to-digital converter. It is no longer necessary to climb to the top of the tank to access the desired information or perform any of the programming functions. Simple plug-in interface modules emulate any existing, as well as custom field protocols or analog outputs. New or updated programs can be downloaded to any MCG 1600SFI into its on-board flash memory “on the fly” to incorporate communication protocol changes and additional functionality.

Ground Level Display
The optional Ground Level Display (MCG 1350) is a remote LCD display which is identical in form and function to the display on the main unit. It enables complete programming and calibration functions via the MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator.

MCG 1090 Level Alarm Probe

The Only True Self Testing Probe
The MCG 1090 Level Alarm Probe brings state of the art technology to overfill protection. The competitors systems typically only check the wiring and probe electronics. The MCG 1090 includes a solenoid to physically move the displacer as an actual level would. In keeping with the L&J tradition, the MCG 1090 has gone a step further than the competition in providing high reliability and low maintenance. The MCG 1090 offers the most reliable protection available against dangerous and costly overfills.

Remote Self-Checking
Typically, a high level alarm probe is mounted in a poor environment and sits inactive for years at a time. This makes regularly scheduled testing the most important factor in reliability. The optional remote self-testing feature of the MCG 1090 makes regular testing of the probe easy and convenient. The probe can be wired to be tested from tank side or the control room. If coupled with the L&J MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor, all probes can be automatically tested at pre-programmed intervals.

Field Wiring
Two wiring configurations are available with the MCG 1090 Probe. Where independent wiring is required, individual wiring from each probe may be run directly to the control room or alarm panel. If independent wiring is not required, a standard 4-wire data highway can be used to multiplex up to multiple probes to the MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor.

Remote Data Acquisition
For a complete alarm system the MCG 1090 probe can be coupled to the MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor. The MCG 7030 provides automatic self-checking, printouts, as well as an optional communications port. The MCG 1090 can be configured with the standard L&J 4-Wire Data Highway port to provide remote alarm data acquisition for your gauging system along existing wiring.

MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor

The MCG 7030 Touch Panel Alarm Monitor offers complete remote checking of alarm probes through cutting-edge technology that makes the system accurate, extremely reliable and fully compatible with the MCG 1090 and the MCG 1095 Level Alarm Probes.

The MCG 7030 meets all the requirements of an independent, overall alarm system. In fact, when coupled with an existing gauging or SCADA system, the MCG 7030 can also function as an alarm data acquisition station.

Up to 128 separate alarm probes can be monitored by the MCG 7030 using a single, 4 wire data highway. If the system is used as a controller, it can monitor 48 individually wired alarm probes.

MCG 2000MAX Level Transmitter

Revolutionary / Reliable
L&J Engineering has once again revolutionized the Transmitter market with its latest edition of the MCG 2000 Transmitter, the MCG 2000MAX. The MCG 2000MAX uses L&J’s patented absolute magnetic encoding to provide the greatest accuracy ever offered in the history of transmitters with 1/32 of an inch standard and with 1/64 of an inch accuracy as an available option. The reliability of the new MCG 2000MAX is also greatly increased over the previous generation of transmitters due to the huge reduction in the number of parts used.

Ultra Low Power / Cost Effective
The Industry has spoken, and demanded an ultra-low power 2-wire, 4-20mA, 24VDC Loop-Powered version of the MCG 2000 and L&J has delivered with the MCG 2000MAX. The MCG 2000MAX uses a newly redesigned CPU board which greatly reduces the number of components on the board, which greatly reduces power consumption as well as cost. All of the existing and future communication protocols are still supported with this new version as well.

Patented Technology
The MCG 2000MAX utilizes absolute magnetic encoding which is the next step in L&J’s patented absolute encoding technology which has been used on the MCG 2000S, MCG 2000SS, MCG 2000SSI, and MCG 2000SFI. L&J has replaced the foot and inch optical discs with foot and inch magnetics which provide much greater accuracy and reliability and also allows for the option of using a much smaller housing than previous offerings. The MCG 2000MAX now has an expanded range of 0-128 feet. By using absolute magnetic encoding the number of parts required is greatly lowered in turn providing unmatched reliability. Just as with the previous generations of MCG 2000’s the MCG 2000MAX is completely unaffected by power failures in your tank farm without the use of batteries. When power is restored the transmitter will accurately reflect the current level, even if it has changed, without the need for additional calibration.

Graphical LCD Display w/ Infrared Calibration
The MCG 2000MAX utilizes a brand new local graphical LCD display which has the ability to display up to 10X more information than the previous 2×16 character LCD display used on previous generations of the MCG 2000. As with all the L&J’s state of the art level gauging solutions, the MCG 2000MAX can be configured via infrared technology by using the MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator without violating explosion proof environments.

Smart Flash Technology
As with all of L&J Engineering’s level gauging products, the MCG 2000MAX uses Smart Flash Technology to allow the end user to “Flash” updates to the transmitter if necessary.

The evo 2600 Radar Gauge is the latest product in L&J Engineering’s new evolution series of radar level gauges which are leading the industry with innovative new features and benefits not found in other products.

The evo 2600 uses L&J’s latest and most technologically advanced radar technology to deliver 3mm Accuracy in a wide variety of applications at a competitive cost. The evo 2600 uses FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology operating in the 26GHz frequency band to ensure that it delivers both accuracy and reliability in a wide variety of level gauging applications. This technology is designed, tested and manufactured in the USA, ensuring a high quality and reliable product.

e.WAVE Display
An all new evolutionary feature of the evo 2600 is the e.WAVE graphical LCD display. In case of special applications or circumstances, the e.WAVE display provides you with a graphical profile of your tank to ensure there are no unforeseen obstructions of intrusions in your level gauging applications. The e.WAVE will allow you to fine tune the radar unit to cancel out any obstructions or other disturbances in the tank. This is all done with the MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator. Never before has it been this easy to fine tune a radar gauge to operate in your specific environment. The e.WAVE display also provides you with a vast array of information, including, but not limited to: level, temperature, discrete status, and a magnitude of diagnostics. There is also an optional ground level display which allows you to program and setup the radar gauge at the side of the tank.

e.CAL intuitive Setup Wizard
The evo 2600 uses L&J’s e.CAL Intuitive Setup Wizard to assure easy programming and setup of your radar gauge in minutes. Once you enter programming mode with your MCG 2150 Remote Calibrator, the evo 2600’s e.CAL mode is the first option displayed. Once entering e.CAL, you will be asked to enter 5 values: units of measure, Datum level, max fill level, min fill level, and seed level. The radar will then begin to profile the tank and you will be up and gauging in less than 5 minutes!
